AURA POLICIES

Terms & Conditions

What to confirm before you agree to accommodation or travel arrangements with Aura.

Enquiries and written confirmations

Sending an enquiry does not reserve accommodation or confirm a booking. Check the agreed price, inclusions and terms with Aura before paying.

1. Enquiries and services

AURA STAY & HOSPITALITY assists with accommodation enquiries and customised travel planning in Jammu and Kashmir. Available options and services must be checked for your dates and requirements. A website enquiry, planning card or itinerary idea is a starting point for discussion; it is not a reservation.

The website accepts enquiries but does not accept online bookings or payments. Any accommodation or travel arrangement must be agreed directly with Aura and confirmed in writing.

2. Your quote and booking confirmation

A booking is confirmed only after Aura checks availability, receives the agreed advance payment and issues a written booking confirmation. The amount and payment deadline are specific to your quote; this policy does not set a universal advance percentage.

Please check the confirmation and promptly report incorrect details. Supply accurate contact and traveller information and ensure that you have authority to agree arrangements for your group.

  • Named accommodation or provider, room type, itinerary, arrival and departure dates, check-in and check-out times, and traveller count.
  • What is included and excluded, such as meals, transfers, sightseeing, activity tickets, permits, local transport, heating and optional extras.
  • The total confirmed price, applicable taxes and charges, advance received, remaining payment and due dates.
  • The cancellation and amendment terms for each component, including any special dates or supplier conditions.

3. Prices and payments

Prices and availability may change before written confirmation. Once confirmed, an additional service, requested change or any other price adjustment must be explained and agreed before it is charged.

Payments may be made by the bank transfer, UPI or other channel confirmed directly by Aura. The full balance is payable before check-in or the service starts unless a different written arrangement is agreed. Obtain a receipt or payment acknowledgement and verify payment instructions through an established Aura contact.

Do not share card numbers, PINs, passwords or payment documents through the website enquiry form. Seasonal offers may be available depending on your selected package, travel dates and availability. Your written quote states the final price, any applicable discount, inclusions and validity.

4. Supplier terms and responsibility

Accommodation, transport and activities may be supplied by independent providers. The booking confirmation should identify what Aura provides directly and what a named supplier provides. Relevant supplier restrictions, exclusions and non-refundable components must be disclosed before you agree and pay.

Aura is responsible for the services it agrees to provide and for communicating and coordinating the confirmed arrangements. Supplier responsibilities apply to their own services. These terms do not exclude responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded, or remove a remedy solely because a third party is involved.

If a confirmed service becomes unavailable, Aura should explain the situation and discuss an appropriate alternative, rescheduling or the refund position before changing your arrangements. A significant substitution requires your agreement.

5. Cancellation, changes and unused services

The linked Cancellation & Refund Policy sets out Aura’s standard cancellation bands and refund handling rules. Special or supplier-specific conditions apply only when communicated and accepted before booking.

A change of dates, travellers, accommodation or itinerary is subject to availability, revised supplier terms and any disclosed cost difference. A change request is not confirmed until Aura provides written confirmation. We should explain any amendment charge before you accept the change.

No-shows, voluntary early departures and voluntarily unused services are normally non-refundable under the agreed booking terms. Provider cancellation, failure to provide an agreed service, legal rights or a separately agreed exception must be assessed on their own circumstances.

6. Check-in, conduct and practical responsibilities

Check-in and check-out times are communicated with the booking. Early check-in and late check-out depend on availability and may carry charges disclosed by the accommodation.

Follow reasonable property rules, local requirements and the activity provider’s safety instructions. Keep necessary travel documents and permits valid, arrive at agreed pickup times and tell Aura in advance about relevant accessibility or practical needs. A request is not a guarantee until confirmed.

Guests are responsible for damage they cause and for their own belongings. Damage charges should be supported and handled under the disclosed provider terms. Illegal activity, disturbance or breach of reasonable property rules may affect the provider’s ability to continue service.

Weather, access, physical demands and equipment for optional mountain or adventure activities must be checked with the actual provider. Do not assume an itinerary idea includes a ticket, specialist supervision, equipment or insurance. Consider insurance appropriate to your arrangements.

7. Weather and circumstances outside our control

Weather, natural disasters, strikes, road closures or government restrictions may affect access or services. Aura cannot guarantee that an affected activity or route will operate, and should keep you informed about known changes.

Where arrangements are disrupted, Aura should discuss feasible alternatives or rescheduling and identify any amounts recoverable for unused services. Irrecoverable supplier commitments and disclosed charges must be explained. This is not a blanket exclusion of every refund, and it does not affect rights that apply under law.

8. Questions, complaints and disputes

Contact Aura promptly if something is wrong so that we and the relevant provider have an opportunity to help. Give your booking reference, dates and a clear description, with relevant supporting information. Reporting an issue promptly helps resolution; it does not create an automatic loss of legal rights if a complaint is made later.

Indian law applies. Disputes may be dealt with by the competent courts in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, subject to any non-excludable right to approach a competent consumer commission or other forum under applicable law.

9. Website content, privacy and updates

Website planning material is general guidance. Confirm current access, availability and the details of your quote before relying on it for a booking. Aura’s original website text and branding may not be reused commercially without permission; third-party materials remain subject to their own rights.

The Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. Updated terms should carry a version and effective date; a later website change does not automatically alter a booking already accepted. Any material change to that booking requires agreement or an applicable legal basis.
